On his first singles run after Team Canada broke up:
In hindsight, I honestly thought that when I broke off from Team Canada, I was gonna get that push. I was starting to be elevated slowly; I obviously had that match with Jeff Jarrett, I had a run with Booker T, and I was right on the brink. That extra push, I think, would have put me through the top, and I think for whatever reason it didn’t happen. Now, when I got the opportunity to step away from Beer Money, I kinda remembered that, and I wanted to really make the best of the opportunity that I had as a singles competitor, and really stand out. Whether I had two minutes on TV or twenty minutes on TV, I wanted to be remembered. I wanted that segment to be remembered; I wanted to be the best thing on the television show; I wanted to entertain people, and really show what I had to prove. I think I’ve done that, and obviously being a world champion has shown that I’m able to be a top guy outside of a tag team. It’s been a learning experience, the whole thing has been a learning experience, and I continue to learn even now. It’s been different, definitely a different run than the first time.

**The ‘Smackdown’ television tapings take place today in Liverpool, England at the Echo Arena where ‘Raw’ was on Monday. The ‘Raw’ crew is in Newcastle, England today for a house show and then the crews have shows in Nottingham, England and Brussels, Belgium on Wednesday.
**We did hear from some people in attendance in Liverpool on Monday and noted that the finish of the main event tag match had to be re-done three times due to timing problems. It is unknown if R-Truth was seriously injured from the bump on the floor where the back of his head hit the floor hard.
**TNA Entertainment sent out a press release on Monday announcing that they have entered a relationship with Ohio Valley Wrestling to become the developmental territory for the organization. OVW has announced that this will not affect any of their current training programs nor affect their relationship with Ring of Honor and that ROH will continue to tape television in the future at the Davis Arena in Louisville. OVW was the developmental territory for the WWE from 1999-2005 under Jim Cornette and Danny Davis and helped develop a ton of talent including Dave Bautista, Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar and was where John Cena credits a lot of his development after coming over from UPW in California.
**Here are the matches scheduled for WWE ‘Smackdown’ tonight at 8pm EST on SyFy and The Score in Canada, taped Tuesday night in Cleveland, Ohio:
*Edge Vs Drew McIntyre in a non-title match
*Heath Slater & Justin Gabriel Vs Vladimir Kozlov & Santino Marella in a non-title match

*Big Show Vs Kane
*Jack Swagger Vs JTG

**The WWE ‘TLC’ pay-per view was a strong show for the company to close out 2010. I felt the TLC Match with Edge winning the World Title was significantly better than the two individual matches would have been and the added time was a huge bonus and in hindsight a very smart call by the company to combine the two matches. I felt match of the night belonged to John Morrison Vs Sheamus where they told a great story and made Morrison come across the strongest he has ever been presented and felt like someone deserving of being in the top mix by the end. I really liked after the match how they kept the camera on Morrison celebrating and let it sink it how big this win was for Morrison and it’s a fresh match for the WWE Title, which is sorely needed on both brands.
**Sunday night’s edition of The LAW is now online featuring Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski and Jason Agnew reviewing the WWE ‘TLC’ pay per view plus interviews with Nick ‘Sinn’ Cvjetkovich discussing the Lucha Las Vegas event coming up in January, Part 2 of our chat with Taz discussing his time working with Mike Adamle and more plus Dave Meltzer of the ‘Wrestling Observer Newsletter’.
