LAW Aug. 27 Update – Triple H Returns on ‘Raw’

**Tonight ‘Raw’ is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin tonight featuring Triple H returning and cutting a promo on his status and likely giving a good hit towards the direction of whether or not they are going with an eventual rematch with Brock Lesnar.

**Wai Ting and I will be back with Review-A-Raw on Monday night chatting all about tonight’s three-hour show and taking your feedback that you can post on The LAW Message Board after the show finishes tonight.

**Last night’s edition of The LAW is up on the site with Dan Lovranski and I chatting a crazy last couple of days and taking your phone calls at On the show we also welcome back Chris Jericho to chat about his latest WWE run, when his deal was supposed to expire, his thoughts on his SummerSlam program with Dolph Ziggler and more, plus Dave Meltzer stops by to get you all caught up on the UFC 151 fiasco as well as Lesnar Vs Hunter rematch discussions and more.

**The ‘Raw’ crew heads to Australia tomorrow morning for a week of shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne and then fly back.

**The ‘Smackdown’ television tapings are in Green Bay, Wisconsin on Tuesday night.

**The WWE debuted their new ‘Saturday Morning Slam’ show this past weekend with Josh Mathews and Santino Marella (still wearing the U.S. Title as the match was taped two-weeks ago). The show is 30-minutes and features a number of features and then one match within the half hour. The WWE has also announced that all the matches will be aimed at a children’s audience and there will be no offensive moves or holds aimed at the neck of an opponent.

**Here is a Q&A with Score Media founder John Levy and Keith Pelley of Rogers discussing the sale from this past weekend with Pelley specifically discussing WWE content on the station and what will happen.

**The WWE has some more DVD releases scheduled for the final quarter of this year with an N.W.O. DVD coming out November 6th and a DVD on the Attitude Era coming out November 20th.

**There is a press release out for Chyna’s upcoming film ‘Queen of the Ring’ at The film will be released next Tuesday and features Chyna and Ron Jeremy in the film and parodies of Triple H, The Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon, Ric Flair, Steve Austin, Doink the Clown, The Iron Sheik, Mean Gene Okerlund and Stephanie McMahon.  


**With all of the shuffling of fights due to the cancellation of UFC 151 it has left Alan Belcher without an opponent for the UFC 153 card in Rio de Janiero, Brazil this October. The announcement that his opponent Vitor Belfort would be moved to the September 22nd card to fight Jon Jones was a blessing for Belcher, who revealed after the announcement that he had a spinal fracture and would be fighting October 13th as originally expected. Belcher has stated he will be ready to fight before the end of the year and would like to fight Chris Weidman.

**The UFC has moved the light heavyweight rematch between Phil Davis and Wagner Prado to the October 13th card in Rio de Janiero to fill the void of Belfort Vs Belcher.

**Sad news out of Brazil as it was reported that Holando Pinheiro sa Silva, the father of UFC middleweight Wanderlei Silva, died tragically on Sunday night in a car accident.

**One FC has a card this Friday morning from the Philippines featuring Andrei Arlovski Vs Tim Sylvia in a heavyweight bout along with Jens Pulver, Bibiano Fernandes, Phil Baroni and Rolles Gracie on the card. The undercard streams free online at starting at 8:30am EST and then main card is available online for $9.95 on their website.

**Bellator Bantamweight Champion Eduardo Dantas fought outside of the organization this past weekend for Shooto Brazil and was knocked out at the 1:40 mark of Round 1 by Tyson Nam. Dantas was given the go ahead by Bellator to take the fight to avoid being on the sidelines for too long a period of time. Dantas, who trains with Nova Uniao, last fought in April where he won the Bantamweight title defeating Zach Makovsky and is next scheduled to fight November 2nd in Rama, Ontario against Season 6 tournament winner Marcos Galvao.

**Invicta FC has announced a bout between Sarah Kaufman Vs Kaitlin Young for their October 6th event in Kansas City, Missouri.

**UFC Featherweight Chad Mendes has been charged with battery stemming from an incident at a bar in Hanford, California last month. Those at the bar state that Mendes sucker punched a patron inside of the bar and then fled the scene while Mendes and his representatives are denying the incident. Mendes will appear in court on September 19th and faces a possible fine of $2,000 and up to six-months in jail.

**Bellator has announced that their Season 7 lightweight tournament will kick off October 19th in Reading, Pennsylvania with the following quarter-final fights set for that night at Bellator 77:
*Rich Clementi Vs Tiger Sarnavskiy
*Ricardo Tirloni Vs Rene Nazare
*Murad Machaev Vs Marcin Held
*Dave Jansen Vs Magomed Saadulaev

**Mac Danzig has tweeted that he is scheduled to fight Takanori Gomi on November 10th in Macau, China at the UFC on FUEL 6 event. The UFC has also moved the Takeya Mizugaki Vs Jeff Hougland bantamweight bout and the John Lineker Vs Yasuhiro Urushitani flyweight bout to the Macau card as both of those fights were originally scheduled for this Saturday at the UFC 151 event.
