LAW Nov. 26 Update – Punk Surpasses Randy Savage’s Reign

**Last night’s edition of The LAW is up on the site with Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski, Jason Agnew and myself chatting all of the news from the past week and starting to look at the WWE Hall of Fame class for next year. We also bring back the round table chat with The Score’s Arda Ocal joining us in-studio and we’ll definitely be doing more of these in the future. Plus Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter stops by, Title Bout Trivia and your calls at as well as on iTunes and Stitcher.

**Tonight Raw is live from Lafayette, Louisiana with the only segment they have announced being Michael Cole interviewing Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose and progress that storyline. Vince McMahon will not be at the tapings tonight as he is visiting troops overseas along with The Miz, R-Truth, Layla and Eve and footage of their trip will be shown on the Tribute to the Troops special next month.

**Today marks Day 372 of CM Punk’s WWE Title reign and surpassing Randy Savage’s 1988/89 run for seventh on the all-time list. Punk will surpass John Cena’s 2006/07 run in nine days and that will likely be it for Punk as the next milestone is 1,027 days for Pedro Morales’ run.

**This Thursday TNA returns to their live format with Impact featuring Rob Van Dam defending the X Division Title against one of four possible challengers. They have also advertised a tag match with Christopher Daniels & Kazarian taking on A.J. Styles & James Storm.

**Here is the current card for the Ring of Honor Final Battle 2012 card set for December 16th in Manhattan (the afternoon of the TLC pay-per-view in Brooklyn):
*Kevin Steen Vs El Genercio in a Ladder War for the ROH Title
*Steve Corino & Jimmy Jacobs Vs The Briscoe Brothers Vs Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander for the Tag Titles
*Adam Cole Vs Matt Hardy in a non-title match
*Michael Elgin Vs Roderick Strong
*Jerry Lynn Vs ???

**The Rock has posted that filming for Fast Six has concluded and is headed back to the U.S. The film comes out next year and will also star Gina Carano.

**Kelly Kelly will be on the cover of the Maxim 2013 calendar and also be Miss January.

**Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Luke Rockhold is the latest casualty for the promotion and is off of the January 12th event in Oklahoma City where he was scheduled to defend his title against Lorenz Larkin. Rockhold still has a lot of problems with his wrist, which cancelled the first fight these two were to have and he has not recovered enough to start a full fight camp. The card currently features Nate Marquardt Vs Tarec Saffiedine for the Welterweight Title, Daniel Cormier Vs Dion Staring and Gegard Mousasi Vs Mike Kyle announced for the main card.

**Bellator has announced a major change to their philosophy towards title fights with the announcement that the promotion will be able to use their discretion in putting together title rematches after a fight. This was a major source of frustration for Eddie Alvarez, who lost the Lightweight Title to Michael Chandler in November of 2011 in what was many people’s choice for fight of the year but because Bellator was married to the tournament format could not give Alvarez a rematch based on their own in-house rules. Jay Hieron was also upset after losing a razor close decision to Ben Askren and not getting a rematch and opted to leave rather than go through the tournament.

**UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre was a Montreal talk show this past weekend stating he wants the Anderson Silva eventually but under his terms and wants to fight some of the welterweight challengers first, which would make Johny Hendricks very happy that St-Pierre is pushing to go down that route. One thing I learned very clearly during the weeks leading up to UFC 154 is that until that super fight happens Silva and St-Pierre are going to be bombarded with questions about it and casts a shadow over any of their fights beforehand.

**Mike Ricci will be a guest this week on The MMA Report chatting about this Friday’s grudge fight with fellow Canadian Michael Hill on TUF.
