LAW May 25 Update - Update on Kharma

John Pollock / May 25, 2011 - 5:05pm

**My apologies for the lack of updates over the past few days, its been extremely busy. Wai Ting and myself will be off to Nunavut (Google it) in Canada this Friday for the Maximum Pro Wrestling tour and are going to try and have some radio shows from Nunavut while we are there. They are holding events there Friday and Saturday night.

**It’s been reported that the angle on Monday night was designed to write off Kharma (Kia Stevens), who will be gone for the rest of 2011.

**WWE ‘Raw’ did a 3.4 rating on Monday night. ‘Tough Enough’ did a 1.6 rating for the 8pm EST debut airing on the USA Network.

**A big story coming of TNA / Impact Wrestling from this past weekend is that Terry Taylor is out as Head of Talent Relations and will be finishing up at the end of June with Bruce Pritchard taking over the position. Pritchard has been working with the company producing backstage segments and serving as a consultant over the past year. Taylor has been an ally of Vince Russo dating back to 1998 when he was brought in to join the creative team alongside Vince Russo and Ed Ferrara and then stuck around for a few weeks after Russo and Ferrara bolted for WCW in October 1999 before Taylor also jumped over to WCW that fall and remained with the company until they shut down in March 2001.

**If you missed Tuesday’s edition of ‘Review a Raw’ with our special guest Jimmy Korderas chatting about the life and career of Randy Savage the show can be downloaded at http://www.thefightnetwork.com/data/podcasts/769/2011-05-24.mp3.

**Next week is the final edition of ‘Tough Enough’ before the live finale on ‘Raw’ June 6th. The final there are Luke Robinson, Jeremiah Riggs and Andy Leavine – we have heard conflicting reports of whether there will be two or three finalists on ‘Raw’, it would make sense to have one more elimination next week. This Monday’s show will feature a guest appearance by The Miz.

**Numerous mainstream outlets have had stories on Randy Savage over the past couple of days including Sports Illustrated and ESPN. There is also an interesting article on the Farmer SEO website discussing the brand awareness that Savage generated throughout his career.

**Chris Jericho will be on The LAW this Sunday night live and will be doing a set of shows next week with Fozzy in Toronto next Thursday at the Tattoo Rock Parlor, Friday in Peterborough, Ontario and Saturday in Brantford, Ontario.

**Brock Lesnar’s book ‘Deathclutch’ (co-written with Paul Heyman) was released Tuesday and Harper-Collins has posted the first 50-pages of the book to read online for free.

**Here is an interesting article from acting and speaking coach Judy Martin, who recently worked with John Morrison to try and help him on his promos and work on his comedy.

**Armando Estrada was back with the WWE working the television tapings on Tuesday night as the new manager of Tyson Kidd on ‘Superstars’. They had already written off Michael Hayes as Kidd’s manager so this could either signal a new permanent manager for Kidd or just be a storyline of revolving managers for Kidd.

**In case you haven’t seen these on the site yet, here are all the interviews I conducted last weekend in Brantford, Ontario at the ‘Brawl at the Bush 2’ event (note: these interviews were done prior to the passing of Randy Savage):
