WWE NXT Report for July 5

MATCH ONE: SOFIA CORTEZ VS. PAIGE
Both ladies jostle for position as the match begins and engage in a little chain wrestling (well – that might be a little generous but there were holds and reversals). Match ends when Cortez plants her opponent with a DDT.
Winner – Sofia Cortez
MATCH TWO: SETH ROLLINS VS. COMACHO
Seth Rollins is definitely the Andrew W.K. of this bunch (or the young version of C.M. Punk according to good ol' J.R.). Rollins goes to work with body shots but Comacho easily powers his smaller opponent into the corner. Rollins rolls up Comacho for a 2-count. Rollins hits the Ric Flair chops. Irish Whip into the corner but then Rollins runs into a boot. Comacho works over Rollins in the corner. Back suplex by Comacho and a cover. Rollins uses the 2nd turnbuckle to his advantage. Rollins hits a dropkick. Hunico jumps up n the apron and is ejected by Rollins. Comacho seizes the moment but Rollins still hits his finisher. After the match Hunico and Comacho attack Rollins until Bo Dallas makes the save.
Winner – Seth Rollins
MATCH THREE: COREY GRAVES & JAKE CARTER VS. CJ PARKER AND NICK ROGERS
Graves takes the early advantage over Parker and makes the first tag. Graves tags himself back in after a few moments and uses a rest hold on Parker. In tags Rogers. In tags Graves and they employ a double team move for the win.
Winner(s) – Corey Graves & Jake Carter
MATCH FOUR: CASSIUS OHNO VS. MIKE DALTON
Yay – it's the NXT debut of the former Chris Hero! Ohno works a wristlock off the lockup. Dalton manages a drop toe hold and a cover. Ohno hits a Stinger Splash and a mean clothesline and a stiff kick to the head. Ohno locks on a submission hold but Dalton fights out and even hits a spinning heel kick. Ohno hits a knockout shot (basically a discus elbow) and covers his opponent for the win. After the match Ohno cuts a quick promo (he's a knockout artist).
Winner – Cassius Ohno
MATCH FIVE: DERRICK BATEMAN VS. JINDER MAHAL
Bateman with a waistlock off the lockup. Bateman hits a really sweet bridging suplex. Bateman clotheslines Mahal to the floor and then hits a tope. Mahal easily regains control of the match. Bateman hits a backslide for a nearfall. Bateman with an inside cradle and then another. Bateman starts throwing right hands and hits a short clothesline and a reverse flying armbar. Neckbreaker by Batemen and a cover. Mahal forces a rope break and follows with a knee to the back of the head. Mahal applies the Camel Clutch for the immediate tapout. After the match Mahal reapplies the Camel Clutch (dastardly!).
Winner – Jinder Mahal
6 MAN TAG TEAM MATCH:
TYSON KIDD, SETH ROLLINS & BO DALLAS VS. HUNICO, COMACHO & MIKE MCGILLICUTTY
Over the course of the show G.M. Dusty Rhodes put this match together in response to the 2-on-1 attack on Seth Rollins. Hey – it's Steven Regal weighing in on commentary (awesome). Kidd starts the match with Hunico. It's advantage Hunico save for a beautiful headscissors by Kidd. Hunico hits the Gory Special. Kidd manages to roll-up Hunico and get a tag to Dallas. In tags Rollins who starts to stomp Hunico in the corner. Hunico makes the tag to Comacho who hits a scoop slam as we go to the commercial break. Comacho still working over Rollins as we come back from the break. Rollins hits a huge monkeyflip on Hunico. Simultaneous tags the Comacho and Bo Dallas. In tags Mike McGillicutty. Cover by McGillicutty. McGillicutty locks on a rest hold. In tags Hunico who hits a double-underhook backbreaker. In tags McGillicuttty who starts with a backbreaker and a cover. Dallas makes the tag to Kidd who enters the ring with a Missile Dropkick. Seth Rollins climbs the ropes and takes out the entire heel team on the floor. Outta nowhere McGillicutty hits the running neckbreaker for the win.
Winner – Hunico, Comacho and McGillicutty
