London, England - TAM COLLINS has been named Head of Operations for Cage Warriors in Scotland.
The appointment comes ahead of the organisation's first ever Scottish show, Cage Warriors 50, which takes place at the Kelvin Hall in Glasgow on Saturday, December 8.
Tam has extensive experience as both a fighter and promoter, having served as director of leading Scottish organisation On Top for the last two years.
Outlining what his role will entail, Collins said: "I'll be providing consultancy and co-ordinating the provision of local services for Cage Warriors 50 here in Glasgow.
"We've used the Kelvin Hall before so I'll be able to assist on actual venue practices and production layouts. We have a reliable team of people who work with us at On Top, whose services we can recommend to Cage Warriors.
"On Top is a reputable brand name in Scotland so the link between the two promotions will help us both."
Collins added that Cage Warriors' debut show in the country will represent a significant step in the right direction for mixed martial arts in Scotland.
"MMA fans in Scotland are very passionate about their sport and can create a great atmosphere. They're very knowledgeable and really enjoy the shows.
"Cage Warriors' production is second to none and they have the largest television footprint in Europe, so I think that will be appreciated by the fans.
"Cage Warriors 50 will be quite special for Scottish MMA. Scotland is a hotbed of talent and this is the best platform for the fighters to show their skills off."
