JEFF HARDY VS AUSTIN ARIES IN A LADDER MATCH FOR THE TNA TITLE
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
I don't think anyone believes there is a title change happening here, so just sit back and enjoy the match because I think these two will work hard and well together. Hardy retains.
Jason Agnew
Hardy will keep the title... which is unfortunate, since Aries run should have never lost it in the first place.
John Pollock
This should be a great match as the ladder involvement plays to the strengths of Hardy and there should also be a vocal crowd in favour of Hardy. Hardy really doesn’t need the title as he is the most over performer on the roster but after putting him through the BFG Series and winning at the biggest show of the year I wouldn’t want to just take the title off of him one-month later so I will say Hardy keeps the title (even though I love the idea of Aries turning that terrible Hardy title into a belt buckle).
BOBBY ROODE VS JAMES STORM VS A.J. STYLES
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
This will definitely be the match of the night in the ring as I'm sure all three guys will work hard. When this match was first announced, I figured AJ would be the one that would take the pin and not get a title shot for a year. But after the way they had AJ take the pin in the match with Roode this week on TV, I'm not so sure.
This one is tough because with a stipulation like no title shot for a year, you have no idea where the company will be in a year. Since things constantly change so fast in the modern world of pro wrestling, it's hard to figure out where to go here. They've already did a major Roode vs Storm feud, and it would be hard to do it again. I could see AJ being successful just so they can do a match with Hardy since the two would be good together. But beyond that, who knows?
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
I like this concept because not only is there a reward for the winner but a consequence for the loser and this match will have important to a guy’s career for the next year and be constantly referenced. The idea of James Storm working for another year to get a title shot puts me right to sleep. This should deliver in the ring and I see Roode pinning Styles and getting the next title shot.
KURT ANGLE VS DEVON
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
I can't say I'm motivated to see this match either. In this new context of A & E, and the story being that Devon betrayed TNA, I think the feud should have been with Bully, not Kurt Angle. It doesn't make sense to me. But I am intrigued to see what happens in the ring since both guys work very different styles. Devon wins with A & E interference and this meaningless angle continues.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
I do expect Angle to get a very good match out of Devon and Devon gets the win after “The Shadow” WES BRISCO turns on Kurt and then Kurt has an even tougher task next month on PPV.
HERNANDEZ & CHAVO GUERRERO VS CHRISTOPHER DANIELS & KAZARIAN FOR THE TAG TITLES
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
Hopefully, these guys will have their working shoes on and present a good solid tag match.
I'm never a fan of short title reigns, so I think the Latinos should keep it, and Kaz and Daniels can lose until the cows come home because they are fabulous heels. No change here and Chavo and Hernandez retain.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
I actually forgot Hernandez and Chavo were the champions until Impact this week. Daniels and Kazarian are excellent with or without the titles so I don’t have much invested in who wins this match. These two teams had a great television match a few months back and hopefully they can recreate that in this one.
ROB VAN DAM VS JOEY RYAN FOR THE X DIVISION TITLE
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
Not sure what to expect here, as it would be awfully fast to take the title from RVD. I could see Morgan interfering in some way and the match gets thrown out, leading to some kind of gimmick match at the next PPV. RVD retains but gets beat down.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
Dan Lovranski’s band Brusier Brody used to do a song based on a wrestling finisher...it was called “Styles clash”. RVD retains the title.
SAMOA JOE VS MAGNUS FOR THE TELEVISION TITLE
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
I don't see a title change here, but I think the feud should continue for one more show after this and then put it to bed.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
I just see way more upside right now in Magnus with the Television Title and Joe never seems to be able to maintain any momentum nor be a featured guy that is allowed to. This is a meaningless title to me that doesn’t need to be here because of all the titles and guys they have under contract for a two-hour show.
DOC VS JOSEPH PARK
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
I'm so not there when it comes to Aces & Eights. The angle has a million holes in it and the lack of logic is truly appalling. For example, unmasking A & E was given such a push, and then when it happened, it means nothing, in terms of both who it was underneath and in storyline. TNA should get a win over these guys (although it will probably mean nothing), so I'll go with Park winning here, perhaps with help from Bully Ray, and perhaps more of the Abyss side coming out again.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
Park loses and we get a tease of his alter ego returning for revenge.
TARA & JESSE VS ODB & ERIC YOUNG
Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski
I hate how forced Tara and Mr Big Brother look together. Their act is not convincing in the slightest. But it looks like they are going over as EY may be done with the promotion altogether and this could be their way of writing him out. Yahoo.
Jason Agnew
John Pollock
I hope this is for the Knockout’s Tag Titles so they can put the titles on Tara and Jesse (right after I stated how many useless titles there are) and at least Jesse and Tara have a gimmick of being the A-list “Knockouts” and this could be it for Young unless they have reached a new deal.
