LAW Nov. 11 Update - WrestleMania Sells Over 45,000 Tickets
John Pollock / November 11, 2012 - 1:49pm
**Tonight is the TNA Turning Point pay-per-view from the Impact Zone in Orlando and we have a full preview of the show up on the website running through all of the matches with our thoughts. Here is the card for tonight:
*Jeff Hardy Vs Austin Aries in a Ladder Match for the TNA Title
*A.J. Styles Vs Christopher Daniels Vs Bobby Roode
*Kurt Angle Vs Devon
*Chavo Guerrero & Hernandez Vs Christopher Daniels & Kazarian for the Tag Titles
*Rob Van Dam Vs Joey Ryan for the X Division Title
*Samoa Joe Vs Magnus in a No DQ Match for the Television Title
*Joseph Park Vs DOC
*ODB & Eric Young Vs Tara & Jesse
**Tonight on The LAW Dan “The Mouth” Lovranski and Jason Agnew will have a full rundown of the Turning Point event right after it finishes and getting your reaction to the show and anything else from this past week at 1-855-591-6876 and locally in Toronto at 416-870-1050. On the program tonight Dutch Mantell will join us to discuss a benefit show he is putting on next weekend in Murfreesboro, Arkansas for his granddaughter Amelia, who died this past summer in a tragic story. We will also chat with Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter and your chance to win a Night of Champions 2012 DVD along with a Rey Mysterio Superstars DVD from E1 Entertainment. Tune in at Midnight EST here on the website along with TSN 1050 Toronto and The TEAM 1410 in Vancouver.
**Tickets for WrestleMania 29 went on sale yesterday and they had a great first day of sales with over 45,000 tickets sold including all of the most expensive seats (including the seats for $2,000 a pop, so criticism of the tickets being overpriced were not the case and priced right for the demand). Needless to say this has the chance to be the most profitable show in company history following last year’s record setting intake for WrestleMania in Miami.
**The Rock also posted on Twitter confirming he will be at WrestleMania next year. The timing is really tough as the G.I. Joe movie he stars in was originally scheduled to come out this past summer and was pushed back to the week before ‘Mania and will be doing a ton of media all over in preparation for that one.
**My full 28-minute interview with Les Thatcher from this past week is up on the site discussing Brad Armstrong and Mike Graham at http://fightnetwork.com/news/34602:interview-les-thatcher-nov.-2012/.
**TNA Impact did a 1.03 rating this past Thursday and averaged 1,270,000 viewers.
**The WWE crew has wrapped up their European tour and will be in Columbus, Ohio tomorrow night for the Raw tapings featuring Ryback Vs Brad Maddox and the return of Jerry Lawler.
**Jim Ross has posted that he will be part of the announce crew tomorrow alongside Michael Cole and Lawler.
