LAW Nov. 19 Update - Raw Moving Timeslot in Canada

John Pollock / November 19, 2012 - 2:09pm

**First off I wanted to thank everyone for their feedback and response to our UFC 154 coverage in Montreal last week. It was an extremely busy week and thus there were no daily updates so my apologies on that end but we are back to normal now.

**Last night’s edition of The LAW with Jason Agnew and myself chatting Survivor Series, UFC 154 as well as Dave Meltzer joining in on the chat is up at http://fightnetwork.com/news/34766:nov.-18-edition-of-the-law-survivor-series/ and also available on iTunes by subscribing to Live Audio Wrestling.

**Tonight Raw is live from Dayton, Ohio and will likely have a big focus on CM Punk’s one-year mark as WWE Champion (though it was pointed out that it’s a leap year in 2012 and this would actually be Day 366).

**Review-A-Raw returns late tonight with Wai Ting and I chatting tonight’s show and taking your feedback from The LAW Message Board.

**The Score announced Monday morning that Raw will be moving to 8:15pm EST starting Monday December 10th as the horse racing contract is up and allowed Raw to be moved up.

**The latest edition of Japanese Audio Wrestling with Chris Charlton and WH Park is up on the site at http://fightnetwork.com/news/34739:nov.-17-edition-of-japanese-audio-wrestling-njpw-review/ chatting the recent NJPW Power Struggle event and lots more.

**Renee Paquette (formerly of The Score and now with WWE) will be going by the name Renee Young. She made her first appearance last weekend on WWE Experience and is also expected to be co-hosting Vintage Collection alongside Gene Okerlund in the coming weeks.

**Ring of Honor has announced that Jerry Lynn will have his final match with ROH at Final Battle on December 16th in Manhattan, New York. Lynn has been in contact with Lance Storm about having one final match but it’s unknown if it would be on this show. Lynn is planning to retire at the end of the year.

**Last night was the first entire pay-per-view that Michael Cole, JBL and Jerry Lawler called together but they did call the Royal Rumble match from 2007 together in San Antonio, Texas that year.

**It was 11-years ago today on Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina that Ric Flair returned to the WWE after eight-years and Jerry Lawler also made his return the night after the invasion angle ended and he replaced Paul Heyman.

LAW MMA UPDATE

**If you missed any of our post fight videos from UFC 154 (including interviews with Johny Hendricks, Francis Carmont, Matt Riddle, Patrick Cote, Sam Stout, Cyrille Diabate, John Makdessi, Ivan Menjivar and Q&A’s with Dana White and Anderson Silva) they are all up at http://www.youtube.com/user/TheFightNetwork/videos?flow=grid&view=0.

**Pablo Garza spoke to us following UFC 154 and said he is heavily considering a move down to 135-pounds where he feel he would dominate and could be “the Jon Jones of 135”. Garza is a giant at 145 so making the weight seems very ambitious but he was very confident he could do it and has been in touch with Mike Dolce regarding a dietary change.

**Both Costa Philippou and Nick Ring did receive their show money despite their fight being cancelled this past weekend after Ring came down with a terrible virus and the fight was cancelled by the Quebec commission.

**UFC President Dana White is not confirming a return to Montreal for March 16th as had been stated publicly last week by Tom Wright. Originally the plan was that the UFC would run Montreal every March and Toronto every September with this past weekend’s show was a bonus event for Montreal.

**The Score Fighting Series presents their next card this Friday from Hamilton Place Theatre in Hamilton, Ontario headlined by Jordan Mein Vs Forrest Petz in welterweight action. The main card also featured a featherweight rematch between Tristan Johnson and Will Romero (Johnson won by unanimous decision in their last fight) and in lightweight action Jesse Ronson meets Ryan Healy (the twin brother of Strikeforce lightweight Pat Healy). Michael Schiavello and Robin Black will be calling the card on AXS TV in the U.S. and The Score in Canada.

**John Maguire posted on Twitter that following two consecutive losses he is moving back to the middleweight division. Maguire was undefeated in his career until this past September where he dropped a decision to John Hathaway and another decision loss this past weekend to Matthew Riddle at UFC 154.

**GLORY 5 will take place on February 16th in London, England headlined by Tyrone Spong taking on Remy Bonjasky in a kickboxing bout. Spong just made his MMA debut at the inaugural World Series of Fighting promotion where he took apart Travis Bartlett in quick fashion.
