Roach Expects Better Pacquiao for Dec. 8 Marquez Clash

Kitson Vincent / November 20, 2012 - 5:55pm

Saturday, December 8, marks the return of the "Pac Man," in his fourth contest against rival Juan Manuel Marquez. Both Pacquiao and Freddie Roach took part in a conference call on Tuesday to talk about their upcoming battle and what they plan to do differently this time around.

All three contests between these men were very controversial with many believing Marquez should have won all three bouts. Pacquiao seemed to be slightly less aggressive last time around and has plans to change that approach.

"I am looking to be more aggressive, to make the fight easier and grab the opportunity," said Pacquiao.

Roach also seems to believe Pacquiao did not fight at a high enough pace in his last few performances. Although Marquez did seem to take the punches better in their last fight, Roach does not think that his strength will be a factor in their fight this December. He exuded confidence that Pacquiao will have his way.

"I don't think muscles makes you have a better chin and the muscle he puts on will make him slower," said Roach. " We're going to take advantage of that."

All three of Marquez and Pacquiao's fights have been exciting, and this will be no different. Neither man loves or hates his opponent, but come December, both men will give everything they've got to prove, more so to themselves, that they still belong at the top.
