John Pollock / November 21, 2012 - 4:27pm

**The newest edition of Review-A-Wai features Wai Ting and myself reviewing the 2003 documentary The Backyard that was directed by Paul Hough. This was a very fun podcast and you can check it out at http://fightnetwork.com/news/34804:review-a-wai-the-backyard-documentary/ or subscribe to Live Audio Wrestling on iTunes.

**WWE Raw on Monday night did a 2.72 rating and averaged 3,840,000 viewers with the first hour averaging 3,870,000, jumping to 3,920,000 in the second and the third hour averaging 3,710,000 viewers.

**WWE performer Kaitlyn (Celeste Bonin) was arrested Tuesday in Lansing, Michigan at the Smackdown tapings for an outstanding speeding ticket that was never paid for. Bonin was taken in and took a mug shot, which subsequently made its way onto TMZ. Bonin released a statement confirming the speeding charge and was working with the authorities to settle the matter and was released on a bond of $315.

**CM Punk will be a guest on AMC’s Talking Dead program this Sunday following the new episode of Walking Dead. The show is a panel discussion on that week’s episode. Punk was upset and vented on Twitter at the lack of promotion this got along with his role as Grand Marshall of the Thanksgiving Day Parade this Thursday in Chicago:

Yes, I will be on @AMCTalkingDead on Sunday. Shocking how WWE didn't promote it or get AMC the proper materials in time to announce it. I will also be the Grand Marshall in the Chicago turkey day parade. Also not announced or promoted by "my" company. Shocking. This is what happens when you go over everyone's head to hustle and acquire your own outside appearances. #DIY Was promoted on Monday. Wasn't Sunday night when it was supposed to be. Ball dropped. S'okay. I'll pick it up and score like I always do.

**Big Show Vs Sheamus is confirmed for the TLC pay-per-view in a Chairs Match for the World Title. The show takes place December 16th at the new Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

**Next Monday’s edition of Raw will kick off with Michael Cole interviewing Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns.

**We want to send our best wishes to former manager Percival Friend, who suffered a heart attack on Monday according to the SLAM website and wish him a quick recovery.

**Michael Elgin Vs Roderick Strong is confirmed for Ring of Honor’s Final Battle iPPV event on December 16th in Manhattan, New York.

**The WWE version of The Soup airs tonight on E! at 10:30pm EST featuring The Miz, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, Eve Torres, Hornswoggle, Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler.

**Lex Luger appeared on TruTV’s Hardcore Pawn show where he was looking to sell one of his classic robes to raise money for a non-profit organization called World Wrestling Outreach. Luger ended up getting $3,500 for the robe after getting an initial offer of $2,500 from the store owners.

**WCW held their first Canadian pay-per-view on this date in 1999 with the Mayhem event from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The show featured the semi-finals and finals of the well remembered WCW Title tournament with Bret Hart defeating Chris Benoit in the finals. In a random trivia note for listeners of The LAW it was at that event that I met Dan Lovranski and Jason Agnew for the first time.

**Shane Douglas turns 49-years old today. The Bella Twins turn 29-years old today.

LAW MMA UPDATE

**Newsday reports that Chris Weidman has suffered an injury in training and is off of the UFC 155 card set for December 29th in Las Vegas where he was to fight Tim Boetsch. Weidman’s training partner Costa Philippou will be inserted to the vacant spot to fight Boetsch. Philippou was scheduled to fight Nick Ring this past weekend in Montreal with both making weight but Ring was not allowed to proceed with the fight after suffering a nasty stomach virus and the Quebec Athletic Commission cancelled the bout with both receiving their show money from the UFC.

**Cheick Kongo and Stefan Struve have stated on Twitter that they will be fighting at UFC 155 on December 29th in Las Vegas.

**UFC President Dana White told Ariel Helwani of MMAFighting.com that they are in the process of moving the light heavyweight bout between Dan Henderson and Lyoto Machida to the UFC 157 card set for Anaheim, California on February 23rd. The fight was originally rumoured for the February 2nd UFC 156 card on Super Bowl weekend, which already has a very strong main card.

**The Las Vegas Sun reports that Todd Duffee is returning to the UFC to fight Phil De Fries on December 29th at UFC 155 to fill the vacated spot of Matt Mitrione, who is now fighting Roy Nelson two-weeks earlier. Duffee was released by the UFC in 2010 following a 1-1 campaign including a 0:07 knockout of Tim Hague at UFC 102 in August 2009. Since being released he has gone 1-1 with a loss to Alistair Overeem and most recent a TKO victory over Neil Grove at the second Super Fight League event this past April. Duffee was also one of the few fighters to be granted a therapeutic use exemption for testosterone by the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

**The UFC 154 preliminary fights averaged 980,000 viewers on FX this past Saturday leading into the pay-per-view. The Canadian numbers are not available but would be interesting to see how they did considering how loaded the undercard was with Canadians.

**Bellator 81 brought in 149,000 viewers this past weekend on MTV2 featuring the semi-finals of the lightweight tournament as Dave Jansen and Marcin Held advanced to the finals. Rich Clementi has announced his retirement following his loss to Held on this card. Bellator has the week off and returns on November 30th for Bellator 82.

**Last Friday’s edition of TUF 16 averaged 643,000 and a big drop from the prior two-weeks. There is no episode of TUF this Friday and they come back on November 30th with the two remaining quater-finals bouts including the grudge bout between Canadians Mike Ricci and Michael Hill.

**Andrei Arlovski has announced that he will be fighting on December 16th in Moscow, Russia for the Fight Nights promotion against a heavyweight named Mike Hayes. Arlovski most recently stopped Devin Cole on the inaugural World Series of Fighting card earlier this month.
