WBC No. 3 ranked heavyweight Tyson Fury improved to 20-0 (14 KOs) on Saturday, outpointing American former title challenger Kevin Johnson (28-3-1, 13 KOs) in a WBC heavyweight eliminator.
The bout headlined a Hennessy Sports-promoted card at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Fury prevailed on scores of 119-110, 119-108 and 119-108. The win puts him in line to challenge WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, but it could depend on another upcoming eliminator between Chris Arreola and Bermane Stiverne.
In other notable action, Chris Eubank Jr. improved to 8-0 (3 KOs), outpointing Bradley Pryce (33-12, 18 KOs) to win a unanimous decision on scores of 80-73 across the board.
