DeGale-Zuniga, Ramos-Williams Jr. LIVE Sat on Fight Network

Toronto – Fight Network, the world's premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, will be airing a pair of live boxing events this Saturday, December 8.

Fight Network will broadcast Hennessy Sports' presentation of James DeGale vs. Fulgencio Zuniga for the European super middleweight title at 6 p.m. ET, immediately following Fight Network's live broadcast of Cage Warriors 50 from Glasgow, Scotland.

The live action picks up again at 10 p.m. ET as Golden Boy Promotions presents an intriguing card from Anaheim, Calif., headlined by undefeated junior welterweight Luis Ramos Jr. and former Olympian Ricardo Williams Jr.

"Fresh off a busy weekend of live action that featured two live boxing cards spanning the globe, live kickboxing from Slovenia and live mixed martial arts from the U.K., Fight Network delivers yet another action-packed weekend of live action," said Chad Midgley, VP of Programming & Production. "Fans of the sweet science can rejoice as they'll be treated to two fantastic cards, first with DeGale vs. Zuniga, followed by Ramos Jr. vs. Williams Jr. at 10 p.m. ET."

Emanating from the Sports Arena in Yorkshire, U.K., WBC No. 3-ranked DeGale will put his European title on the line against Zuniga in a bout for the vacant WBC Silver super middleweight title.

The 26-year-old London native DeGale (13-1, 9 KOs) is a talented southpaw who has only tasted defeat once as a professional.

The 35-year-old Colombian Zuniga (25-6-1, 22 KOs) is the former IBO beltholder with notable experience competing against prominent contenders.

"Zuniga is a big test for me as he's only lost to world class opponents in Kelly Pavlik, Lucian Bute and Tavaros Cloud," said DeGale. "More recently he went 12 rounds with the unbeaten highly world ranked South African, Thomas Oosthuizen, so it shows he is world class and a dangerous opponent."

Promoter Mick Hennessy said: "After Kenny Anderson's team agreeing all terms with us and then pulling out on the fight, I'm pleased and proud to say we've found a better world class opponent who has been very active. In only 14 fights for James to be European champion and now fighting for the WBC Silver belt is shows the phenomenal talent he is, Styles makes fights and these two are going to gel to make an explosive encounter."

At 10 p.m. ET, Golden Boy Promotions presents an explosive night of live action from the Business Expo Center in Anaheim, Calif.

Santa Ana southpaw Ramos Jr. (23-0, 10 KOs) has had a career-best year in 2012, when he stepped up his level of competition in a big way by delivering defeats to top talents in Raymundo Beltran, Daniel Attah and Noe Bolanos. Now ready to move into the title picture at 140 pounds, the 24-year-old Californian is looking to make a year-ending statement by defeating another hot talent in Williams Jr. on December 8.

31-year-old Williams Jr. (20-3, 10 KOs) emerged from the 2000 Olympics with a silver medal and proved that he has unyielding fighting spirit to never give up. With victories in 11 of his last 12 fights, the Cincinnati native is not only still standing, but a win over Ramos will push him into the top contender category once again.
