Quick Shots - Bellator 83: Food Poisoning Halts Headliner

Just moments before Rad Martinez was scheduled to take on Shahbulat Shamhalaev in the Season 7 Bellator featherweight tournament final at Bellator 83 in Atlantic City, N.J., the New Jersey State Athletic Commission called off the main event.
According to Bellator CEO Bjorn Robney, Shamhalaev was unable to compete due to food poisoning.
The bout is now scheduled to take place at Bellator 84 next week.
In other notable action from Caesars Atlantic City, Bellator 115-pound female champion Zoila Gurgel was submitted by Jessica Eye in the first round of a non-title bout, succumbing to a standing arm-triangle choke.
