James Storm comes out and says he isn’t scheduled to be here but is here to ruin Bobby Roode’s night and whip his ass.
Kazarian comes out and tells “Jim” to shut up. He says Storm whines and complains and he is also a “drunk” and a “goat roper” and tells him to take his Toby Keith routine and ride off into the sunshine. Storm makes fun of Kazarian spending the whole day coming up with that promo. Kazarian mocks the people for cheering for alcoholism.
The two start fighting around the ring as a referee comes out and an impromptu match begins.
James Storm Vs Kazarian
Kazarian hits a leg drop coming off the ropes for a two-count.
Storm fires up with an Alabama slam and goes for the Last Call but Kazarian pulls the official in front of him and then on his second attempt he hits it and Storm gets the win at 6:07.
They recap the Aces and 8’s attack on Jeff Hardy and show Hardy and Roode arriving earlier today.
Rob Van Dam Vs Kenny King for the X Division Title
Van Dam’s key plugs his Twitter – real RDV (their typo, not mine)
King spins around and hits Van Dam with a kick to the head and knocks him down.
Van Dam gets on the top and is kicked off and sent into the barricade on the floor.
Van Dam comes back with a rolling thunder and kick off the turnbuckle, misses the frog splash and King goes for the Royal Flush but Van am blocks it and rolls him up using his legs for the cover at 9:22.
Jeremy Borash is in the back with Christopher Daniels and his appletini. Daniels calls him “Jerome” and says he has wrestled Styled more times than anyone all over the world and lists all the different matches they have had. He says history is written by the victors and it will read that Christopher Daniels was better than A.J. Styles.
Hernandez & Chavo Guerrero Vs Matt Morgan & Joey Ryan for the Tag Titles
Hernandez throws Ryan with a belly to belly from a bear hug.
Taz disputes the bench press numbers Morgan claims to have hit during an NFL combine.
They do some strength spots with Morgan and Hernandez ending with a discus clothesline to Hernandez.
Hernandez with a delayed vertical suplex to Ryan and then Morgan sends Chavo face first into the turnbuckle from the corner.
Taz says he is starting to like Ryan after initially wanting to put a screwdriver in his eye as heels works on Guerrero.
Morgan (who appears to be trying to work like Andre the Giant) is clotheslined to the floor by Hernandez and Guerrero hits a frog splash to Ryan but Morgan pulls the referee out for the DQ at 10:36.
After the match Hernandez hits a tope to the floor after Morgan sent Chavo into the steel post and is selling his back.
Borash brings in Austin Aries and cuts a promo on Hogan and Bully Ray and throws in a bunch of Hogan catchphrases and calls it “Austin Mania”.
Austin Aries Vs Bully Ray
Ray controls the match at the start but Aries eventually hits a missile dropkick to the knee of Ray and follows up with an attack.
Aries mocks Hogan and hits the leg drop and Ray powers up with a gorilla press and slam but only gets a two-count (the WrestleMania 6 closing sequence).
Aries goes for a suicide dive and dives right into the boot of Ray from the floor, which looked awesome.
Aries comes back with a running dropkick in the corner but the brainbuster is blocked and Bully hits the Bubba cutter in mid-air but Aries gets his foot on the ropes.
Ray takes a drop toe hold into the steps and Ray starts bleeding.
Brooke runs down to check on him and Aries pulls her into the ring but Ray stops Aries and Hulk comes down to the ring and stares down Bully and takes Brooke to the back. Aries low blows Ray from behind and pins him at 13:07.
They recap Velvet Sky’s return this past week and then interview Tara and Jesse and he starts reading tweets from celebrities and make plans for their celebration party.
Tara (w/ Jesse) Vs Mickie James for the Knockout’s Title
James worked in over alls.
Tara drops James on the apron on the floor and gets the advantage.
James tried to block the Widow’s Peak and landed on her head and looked out of it despite kicking out of the next spot.
She seems to get her composure back and starts a comeback on Tara and eventually tosses her to the floor where Jesse catches her. James jumps off the top to the floor with the Thesz press onto Tara. Jesse gets on the apron and takes a spin kick from Mickie but then walks into the Widow’s Peak and Tara wins at 7:52.
Borash is with Bobby Roode and asks about his relation to Aces and 8s and recaps his time as champion and his business is winning the title tonight.
Kurt Angle & Samoa Joe & Garret Bischoff & Wes Brisco Vs Aces and 8s
Joe hits a flurry of shots to Doc in the corner and then Bischoff is tagged in and works with Brisco.
This built really well and the crowd was into the final few minutes and in particular during Joe and Angle’s spots. Angle took a choke slam from Doc but then turned into a crossbody from Brisco. Joe hit a tope suicida to the floor and Doc got a hammer but Angle stopped him and went to attack him with the hammer but Brisco speared the Doc to save him from the hammer shot. Angle hit the Angle slam and pinned one of the masked men at 11:23. No one turned on anyone.
Borash interviewed A.J. Styles and discusses the rough year he has had and people doubting the man he was. Then they ran a great video on the history of their matches.
A.J. Styles Vs Christopher Daniels
Styles controls the beginning of the match and builds to a snap suplex to Daniels on the outside apron. Daniels comes back a minute later with a uranage on the outside apron and then slams him on top of the steel steps.
Daniels wears him down for a few minutes and then Styles comes back with clotheslines and kicks but Styles is bleeding on the left side of his eye.
Daniels with a superplex and they trade punches ending with Styles hitting the Pele kick.
Styles counters the Angel’s wings and hits the Styles Clash but Daniels kicks out.
Thy build to Styles going for the Styles Clash off the second turnbuckle but Daniels flips him in mid-air and Daniels hits the Styles Clash on Styles to win at 21:36.
Jeff Hardy Vs Bobby Roode for the TNA Title
Hardy spent the majority of the first ten-minutes selling as Roode shut him down with stomps and keeping Hardy grounded.
Roode comes off the second turnbuckle as Hardy gets his feet up and hits a side Russian leg sweep to Roode and gets a two-count.
Hardy spills on the floor and gets thrown into the steps.
Hardy is sling shot into the corner but hangs on and hits the whisper in the wind for a two-count. Hardy hits a front suplex and splashes Roode for another two.
Hardy goes for the Poetry in Motion on the floor and misses Roode and wipes out hitting the barricade and landing on the floor in the audience. This did get the crowd more into the match and chanting for Hardy.
Hardy fights off Roode from the top rope and hits the swanton but Roode gets up and spears Hardy for a two.
Aces and 8s come down to ringside. Roode wants them to come help him but they just stand there as Roode gets upset and turns around and is hit by the twist of fate and Hardy pins him.
After the match Aces and 8s attack Hardy and ending with a powerbomb. Roode yells at them that he paid for their services and should be the champion and they attack Roode and choke slam him to end the show.
