John Pollock / December 28, 2012 - 5:51pm
**We are back today with Review-An-Impact as Wai Ting and I chat about the final Impact of 2012 along with Nate Milton, who will also provide his “Best of 2012” picks to wrap up the year. The show can be downloaded now on the site at http://fightnetwork.com/news/35533:dec.-28-edition-of-review-an-impact/ or on iTunes by subscribing to Live Audio Wrestling.
**The Christmas Eve edition of Raw drew a 2.2 rating and averaged 3,167,000 viewers for the three-hour show. The pattern was different with the first hour being the lowest of the three as opposed to the third being the lowest as usual.
**Here are the matches for the taped edition of Smackdown tonight and were taped last Wednesday in Rochester, New York:
*Brodus Clay Vs Epico
*Kane & Daniel Bryan & Kofi Kingston Vs Cody Rhodes & Damien Sandow & Wade Barrett
*Antonio Cesaro Vs Zack Ryder in a non-title match
*Dolph Ziggler Vs The Miz
*Prime Time Players Vs The Usos
**A note to Canadian viewers that due to holiday programming Smackdown will not be airing until Saturday night on The Score.
**Due to Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara being off the road for the house shows this week the WWE has added the New Age Outlaws to all of the Raw house shows. Both men are under contract to the company with Road Dogg working as a producer and Billy Gunn recently re-hired to be a trainer at FCW. The two have been going over Damien Sandow and Cody Rhodes all week long.
**The Raw crew is in Long Island, New York tonight headlined by John Cena Vs Dolph Ziggler. The Smackdown crew is in Minneapolis, Minnesota with Big Show Vs Sheamus in a Steel Cage for the World Title being advertised as the main event. The WWE will be taping the New Year’s Eve edition of Raw on Saturday in Washington, D.C. and Smackdown will be taped Sunday in Richmond, Virginia.

**Perhaps the most well remembered WCW pay-per-view of all-time took place on this date in 1997 with Starrcade from the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. headlined by Hulk Hogan Vs Sting for the WCW Title. The show was the culmination of a 16-month build after Sting walked out on WCW and made his return at this event to challenge Hogan for the title and defend WCW and was the booking peak of the company at their hottest point in history up to this point in time. The show did 650,000 buys on pay-per-view and brought in $6,000,000 in revenue for the company. Wai Ting and I reviewed this event and it is posted at http://fightnetwork.com/data/podcasts/1030/2010-12-12.mp3.
