Joe Greene, Antoine Douglas Return Jan. 10 in New York

WOODHAVEN, NY (January 3, 2013)—Welterweight contender Joe Greene will Headline a big night of boxing on Thursday January 10th at the Cordon Bleu in the Woodhaven section of Queens, New York.

Greene of the nearby Jamaica section of Queens will take on Calvin Odom in the eight round main event promoted by Greg Cohen Promotions.

In the four round co-feature, former amateur standout Antoine Douglas will see action against Stanley Harvey.

Since his lone defeat, Greene has two victories which includes an eighth round stoppage over Nathan Bedwell on January 28th, 2012.

Odom of Inglewood, California has a record of 15-12 with eleven knockouts has faced top competition and has quality wins over Juan Gil (2-0), Jose Luis Zertuche (5-0-1), Glenn Corbus (17-4-1), Roberto Garcia (13-0) and Luciano Perez (13-3-1). He is coming off a eight round defeat to Tony Harrison (8-0) on July 27th.

Douglas of Washington, D.C. has a record of 2-0 with both wins coming via stoppage which includes he last outing when he stopped Carlos Lopez on November 10th.

Douglas compiled an amateur record of 85-30 and was a National PAL Champion, 2009 Jr. Olympic Champion as well as a Ringside World champion and. placing third in the Olympic trials. He is managed by Bill Mielnicki and Kay Korona and with promoter Greg Cohen.

The Pro-Am show will also feature top amateurs Gary Beriguette and 10 year-old sensation Sharlone Nelson

Ticket Prices are $125 (VIP with Dinner) and $40 (General Admission) and can be purchased at the Elite Heat Boxing Gym (130 Mt. Pleasant Avenue in Newark, NJ).

The doors open at 6pm with first bell at 7:30 pm
