UFC Releases 16 Fighters, Including Fitch, Volkmann, Sass

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has released 16 fighters from their contracts today, as initially reported by MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani.

The news of the roster cuts was revelaed by UFC president Dana White.

The full list of fighters released includes:

-Jon Fitch
-Wagner Prado
-Mike Russow
-Jacob Volkmann
-Vladimir Matyushenko
-Che Mills
-Jay Hieron
-Terry Etim
-Paul Sass
-Jorge Santiago
-Mike Stumpf
-Simeon Thoresen
-C.J. Keith
-Motonobu Tezuka
-Josh Grispi
-Ulysses Gomez
