Toronto – Canada’s Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, will continue its unprecedented coverage of live international kickboxing with a stacked It’s Showtime! doubleheader this Saturday, June 30, at 12 p.m. ET, featuring Editions 57 and 58 back-to-back from Brussels, Belgium.

The live broadcast on Fight Network beginning at Noon (12 p.m.) ET is expected to surpass four hours of sensational striking and hard-hitting knockouts.

In the featured attraction, kickboxing legend Peter Aerts, a three-time K-1 World Grand Prix champion and a staple in the sport since his debut in 1988, completes his contract with It’s Showtime! in a hotly anticipated showdown with Dutch-Surinamese powerhouse Tyrone Spong, who was last seen dismantling Melvin Manhoef live on Fight Network in January.

“Fight Network’s live kickboxing coverage continues to deliver as we present a star-studded doubleheader from Belgium this Saturday,” said Chad Midgley, VP of Programming & Production at Fight Network. “This pair of back-to-back cards features heavy star power and some of the most recognizable names in the history of the sport of kickboxing. One week after our live broadcast of Fedor Emelianenko’s last professional fight from Russia, we’re back with another spectacular live event for our viewers, a testament to our commitment of delivering the best live fights from around the globe.”

Headlining the first half of the broadcast is a 70 kg MAX championship clash pitting “The African Warrior” Chris Ngimbi, fresh off a victory at K-1 World MAX Rising 2012, in a title defense against the Dutch “Destroyer” Andy Souwer, a 29-year-old two-time K-1 MAX world champion riding a two-fight winning streak and a career of victims that includes Buakaw Por Pramuk, Artur Kyshenko, Nieky Holzken, Andy Ologun, Masato and Albert Klaus.

Another title bout is also on tap for Part 2 of the broadcast as Filip Velidnen meets Danyo Ilunga for the 95 kg MAX title. A pair of heavyweight battles is also set as Hesdy Gerges faces Rico Verhoeven, while It’s Showtime! heavyweight king Daniel Ghita squares off with Dzevad Poturak. Saturday’s action-packed event will also mark the return of Fast & Furious tournament winner Robin van Roosmalen as he takes on Hafid El Boustati.
