Fight Network to Air Year-End Holiday Marathons

Toronto – Fight Network, the world’s premier 24/7 television channel dedicated to complete coverage of combat sports, will be airing Holiday marathons with repeats of all major mixed martial arts, boxing and kickboxing events from 2012.

Four special editions of Fight News Now will recap all the biggest stories from 2012 in all the major disciplines, including mixed martial arts, boxing, kickboxing, submission grappling, judo and professional wrestling. Fight News Now: Year In Review shows will air between December 24 and January 6.

Beginning on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, Fight Network will air several films from the Twentieth Century Fox library, including Fight Club, Die Hard and Die Hard 2.

On Boxing Day, December 26, programming dedicated to the sweet science includes a WBC heavyweight eliminator between Tyson Fury and Kevin Johnson. At 9 p.m. ET, Fight Network will premiere Agency Wars 2012, an original production from Arcadian Court in Toronto featuring amateur boxers from advertising agencies going toe to toe as they raise money for Ronald McDonald House Toronto and NABS.

Kicking off the daily marathons at 6 a.m. ET are repeats of all major 2012 international judo tournaments from the International Judo Federation.

Daily at 9 a.m. ET, marquee Canadian mixed martial arts cards from 2012 will be re-aired, including Ringside MMA, Instinct MMA and SLAMM: Tristar Fights.

Daily at 1 p.m. ET, Fight Network will re-air a number of boxing events, including Golden Boy Promotions, Hennessy Sports and Frank Maloney Promotions.

After a busy year of events spanning the globe, fans can relive the 2012’s Cage Warriors Fighting Championship cards daily at 3 p.m. ET.

With a heavy slate of live kickboxing this year, Fight Network will re-broadcast all the major events from It’s Showtime! and GLORY World Series daily at 6 p.m. ET.

Finally, daily schedules will be rounded out by notable mixed martial arts cards aired throughout the year on Fight Network, including M-1 Global: Fedor vs. Rizzo, World Series of Fighting 1, ShoFight 20, plus events from ONE Fighting Championship, Invicta Fighting Championships, Super Fight League and DEEP.

Fight Network will be the ultimate destination for live action on New Year’s Eve with three live events set for December 31, beginning with a live broadcast of DREAM.18 from the Saitama Super Arena at 2 a.m. ET. The live action continues at 6 a.m. ET with GLORY 4 Tokyo: Heavyweight Grand Slam from the same venue, followed by Cage Warriors 51 at 4 p.m. ET live from Dublin, Northern Ireland.
