British welterweight standout Paul “Semtex” Daley is coming to America.  The Cage Rage world welterweight champion has confirmed that he will be fighting on the card of Elite XC “Return to Showtime”, scheduled for Sept. 20, against a yet to be named opponent.

Furthermore, the sensational striker also stated that he will be given an eventual title shot against Elite XC welterweight champion Jake Shields, provided that he is victorious come Sept. 20.

“I win on the 20th, and I’ll be fighting for the Elite XC title next,” stated Daley in an interview earlier this week.

Though Daley could not reveal his opponent, FiveOuncesofPain.com reports that it will most likely be Team Tiger Schulmann’s Lyman Good, who recently signed a six-fight contract with Elite XC.  Daley would neither confirm nor deny the speculation.

“FiveOuncesofPain.com seems to think my opponent is undefeated ex-IFL fighter Lyman Good,” says Daley.  “Let’s wait and see.”

Daley will be leaving for the Netherlands this week, where he’ll be taking part in a two week training camp at Mike’s Gym, home to the likes of Melvin Manhoef and several K-1 competitors, including Dutch badboy Badr Hari.  Following his time in Holland, Daley will leave for the U.S, where he plans to train with a “secret” training partner.

“I have a secret weapon,” says Daley.  “He’s a person, not a camp – a training buddy of mine who will prepare me for future Elite XC fights.”

Daley last competed at Cage Warriors “Enter the Rough House 7”, where he defeated then unbeaten Slovenian Bojan Kosednar.  The Team Rough House fighter is currently on a six-fight winning streak, having not tasted defeat since late 2006.
