**Due to
technical problems with Rogers a lot of people in Toronto were unable to see
the ‘No Surrender’ event last night – this affected us here at The LAW as well
and ended up watching the majority of the show online but I myself missed most
of the show so cannot really comment too much however the main discussion was
the booking of the Kurt Angle Vs Jeff Hardy match, which from all accounts was
a great match and hampered by the overbooking at the end of the match. First of
all I thought it was lazy of the company to not inform people of a time limit
at the start of the match (for those feeling it would telegraph the finish they
easily could have announced time limits for every match on the card and booked
themselves out of a predictable finish). The intent was obviously to surprise
people but when a match just ends all of a sudden because of a time limit being
reached the natural reaction is a groan and not a pop much like a DQ or countout
finish after investing 20-minutes into this match. It also made no sense to
harp on the fact there had to be a winner but only give them five minutes to
finish when sudden death would have made more sense. Anyone who has ever
followed a pro wrestling tournament or even a legitimate sports tournament
knows that a draw means both men are eliminated but in this case it was made
clear that Mr. Anderson would have to face someone in the finals (and logically
shouldn’t Jeff Hardy have been declared the winner if Kurt Angle was the one
unable to continue due to the cut?). I felt the booking of that match severely
hurt a really solid match and is an insult to your audience who you feel will
eat whatever is spoon fed to them. On top of that you paid $35 for the set up
and get the pay off on TV, which is so backwards but has become commonplace for
this promotion.

**The
deal involving Desmond Wolfe and Magnus was a disciplinary issue from the past
week and they were taken off of the pay per view in favor of Generation Me, who
were pulled from Night 2 of the Battle of Los Angeles card in Reseda,
California to come to Orlando on Sunday night.

**Tonight
‘Raw’ takes place in Washington, D.C at the Verizon Center with no matches
advertised ahead of time however in the local area they have promoted John Cena
Vs Wade Barrett and Sheamus Vs Randy Orton.

**TNA is in Orlando, Florida tonight for the September 16th edition of ‘Impact’
tapings as they set everything in motion for ‘Bound for Glory’ on October 10th.

**Hulk
Hogan will not be at the TV tapings tonight as he is currently in hospital due
to excessive back pain. Hogan posted a video from his hospital bed earlier
today and looked to be in rough shape. Hogan has had three separate operations
on his back in the last year and a half and the back problems are the main
reason why the proposed Hogan Vs Abyss was taken off of the books (the two were
originally ear marked to meet at ‘Bound for Glory’).

**Due to
HD Net running a marathon of ‘Prison Break’, there will be no episode of ROH
tonight on HD Net leading into ‘Glory by Honor IX’ this Saturday night. I don’t
feel the same buzz for this show as I did for ‘Death Before Dishonor VIII’ in
June with the interest coming from the fact Tyler Black is leaving the company
and curiosity to see the Haas & Benjamin reunion, both of which have not
been on TV nor shot an angle building to.

**The plan as of one month ago were for the following matches at ‘Bound for
Glory’ on October 10th and this is reflected on the current advertising the
promotion has begun airing:
*Mr. Anderson Vs Kurt Angle in the finals of the TNA tournament
*The
Pope Vs Jeff Hardy in a #1 Contender Match
*EV2.0
Vs Fortune in a ‘Lethal Lockdown Match’ (presumably you would have Mick Foley
and Ric Flair involved in this match)
*Rob Van
Dam Vs Abyss in a ‘Career Vs Mask Match’

**Former
WWE and WCW performer Jim ‘The Anvil’ NeidHart was arrested on Sunday afternoon
after being seen ingesting multiple pills at a gas station in Thonotosassa,
Florida. When officers arrived NeidHart was not being cooperative and was discovered
to be carrying 55.6 grams of oxycontin and 17.4 grams of methodone and were
prescribed to Mary Cutillo, who NeidHart stole them from. NeidHart’s bail has
been set at $138,500 and has been charged with two counts of possession of a
controlled substance, two counts of trafficking illegal drugs, one count of
grand theft and one count of burglary.

**There
will be a special TNA themed week on ‘Family Feud’ from November 1st – 5th with
a male and female team representing TNA. The male team will consist of Mick
Foley, Rob Van Dam, Mr. Anderson, Jay Lethal and Matt Morgan while the female
team will feature Angelina Love, Tara, Christy Hemme, Velvet Sky and Lacey Von Erich.
