We
begin the July 30, 2010 edition of Smackdown with a recap of what happened last
week: Kane saying that he made history by cashing in the Money in the Bank
contract to become the new World Heavyweight Champion. Also, the #1 contenders’
match between Swagger and Mysterio, with Mysterio winning and Kane making a run
in to chokeslam Swagger and then attack Rey.
Kane
is in the ring. He says that for 60 days and nights he has sat by his brother’s
bedside waiting for him to show him a sign of life. He talks about how
Undertaker moved and opened his eyes then spoke for the first time in 2 months,
he uttered two words: “Rey Mysterio” the man who attacked Undertaker.
Kane
asks why Rey would attack the Undertaker. He talks about the Undertaker beating
Mysterio to earn a place in the fatal 4-Way match. Then on the following week,
Rey won a battle royal that secured his place in the Fatal 4-Way match and went
onto to win the WHC. Kane talked about stopping Mysterio by winning the World
Heavyweight Champion. Kane walks to a coffin that is in the ring and vows that
at Summerslam Mysterio will pay for his sins and what the Undertaker has
endured. Kane says that after he closes the coffin’s lid Rey Mysterio as we
know him will cease to exist.
[Commercial]
They
show a replay of last week’s Tag Match with Christian and Matt Hardy vs. Cody
Rhodes and Drew McIntyre where Matt hit Christian.
Christian
vs. Drew McIntyre
Drew
backs Christian into the corner. Christian ducks and starts hitting fists to
Drew’s face. Drew whips Christian to the ropes then tries for a slam, Christian
tries for a roll up, Drew blocks it and hits Christian in his face with a fist.
Drew tries for another slam, but Christian counters. Drew goes for a run and
Christians throws him outside the ring. Christian goes for a baseball slide,
but Drew blocks it. Christian hits a drop kick. Drew goes under the ring and
pulls Christian’s arm into the steel ring beam. Drew has Christian inside the
ring in a key lock. Christian fights out. Drew hits a shoulder block on
Christian as Christian moves to the outside of the ring. Drew clotheslines
Christian off the apron.
[Commercial]
Christian
gets back in the ring as Drew hammers him with fists and goes for a cover and a
two count. Drew has Christian in an arm lock then hits a scoop slam on
Christian’s shoulder. Drew keeps on working on Christian’s injured shoulder as
he goes for a cover and a two. Drew throws Christian into the ring post and
then goes back to an arm lock. Christian begins to fight out; he hits a head
butt then climbs the ropes for a drop kick. Christian trips Drew on the ropes
and goes to choke him but Drew counters and throw him to the outside apron.
Christian hits a neckbreaker on the ropes then hits a cross body and McIntyre
rolls him into a cover and a two count.
Drew
goes for the Futureshock, Christian counters into a reverse DDT. Drew twists
Christian’s arm throws him to the ground and goes for a cover and a two count.
Drew goes for a leg drop but Christian counters getting his feet up on Drew’s
chin. Christian goes for a quick roll up cover and a two count. Christian hits
an uppercut. Drew fights back with a kick the mid section then throws
Christian’s shoulder into the ring post. Drew goes for future shock, but
Christian counters with an inside cradle and gets the pin and a win.
Dashing
Cody Rhodes with another beauty tip, this time it is about Men getting facials.
[Commercial]
Alberto
Del Rio airs a promo about Excellence.
Punk
is back stage he asks the Straight Edge Society who is going to let him down
tonight. He asks Serena to smell her breath and says she is sober. He calls
Joey Mercury incompetent. Punk shows Gallows his sling and says that he would
have stopped Big Show if he was not wearing it. Punk calls Joey a crybaby. Punk
says that there is one person that is standing in the room right now that if he
walked out he would be okay, no of them would survive without him. Punk calls
the SES members nothing, without him they are nothing. Punk asks the SES to do
something because if they don’t they can all pack their bags
[Commercial]
A
replay airs from two weeks ago with Big Show unmasking Punk and then last week
when Show unmasked Joey Mercury as the SES mystery man
Big
Show vs. Luke Gallows
Show
knees gallows in the midsection, then goes for a head butt. Show slaps gallows
in the chest then strikes him down with a fist to the back. Show asks the
announced to bring a mic and Show hits him with it. Show gets Gallows in a
headlock then throws him out of the ring. Gallows gets back in and Show pushes
him out of the ring again. Show climbs out of the ring and Punk attacks Show as
the SES attack Show. Mercury throws Show at the steel ring steps. Gallows has
Show’s hand trapped on the steps as Punk repeatedly steps on hit and Serena
joins in. Show looks like he passed out. Punk throws his sling at Show and says
that he is going to need it more than he will.
[Commercial]
They
show a replay of last week’s match with Kofi vs. Dolph as Vickie uses
interference to get Dolph the win in the match.
Kofi
Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler
Dolph
and Kofi lock up. Kofi slams Dolph to the mat then gets him in a headlock.
Dolph takes Kofi to the mat. Kofi counters as Dolph goes under the ropes and
the ref breaks the hold. Dolph hits fists to Kofi’s head. Kofi fights back,
climbs the ropes, and hits Dolph with firsts to his head. Kofi goes for a cover
and a two count. Dolph comes back and hits fists to Kofi’s head then slams Kofi
to the mat repeatedly. Dolph goes for a cover and gets a two count. Kofi uses
his legs to throw Dolph out of the ring. Dolph hits a neckbreaker on Kofi on
the middle rope. Dolph goes for a quick cover then goes for a headlock. Dolph
whips Kofi to the ropes but Kofi counters and hits a dropkick. Kofi tries for a
splash on Dolph in the corner but Dolph ducks and hits an inverted body slam on
Kofi; he goes for a cover and a two count. Dolph gets Kofi in a headlock again
then throws Kofi to the mat. He hits an elbow drop on Kofi and goes for another
quick cover.
[Commercial]
Dolph
flips Kofi to the mat and gets him in an arm lock then stomps on Kofi’s
midsection with his boot. Kofi fights out. Dolph goes for a cover and gets a two
count. Dolph goes back to putting Kofi in a Front Chancery. Kofi fights out.
Dolph goes for a DDT Kofi counters with a neck drop. Dolph hits Kofi with
fists. Kofi counters with a slingshot to the ring corner. Dolph goes back with
a cover and a two count. Dolph chokes Kofi on the ropes. Vickie gets in a slap
across Kofi’s face. Kofi goes berserk drops Dolph and starts hitting fists to
his head and gets DQ’d.
After
the match, Kofi unleashes with kicks and fists to Dolph’s head and midsection.
Kofi throws Dolph over the announcer’s table then slams Dolph’s head into the
table. Kofi throws Dolph into the fan barricade. Refs come out to break them up
with Kofi trying to fight his way toward Dolph.

A
recap from Monday night raw showing the disarray that team Raw is finding
themselves in and the seven on seven match pitting the Nexus vs. Raw
Superstars.
Striker
and Grisham run down the card for Summerslam.
Josh
Matthews is backstage with Jack Swagger. Swagger says that he is not in the
mood for Josh’s brainless questions. Jack says that he will break Rey’s arms
and legs and throw him down stairs, and drag Rey out of the arena across the
street and drop him the Gulf of Mexico.
Tiffany
and Kelly Kelly are walking to the ring.
[Commercial]
A
promo airs for Kofi Kingston vs. Dolph Ziggler next week for the
Intercontinental Championship.
Vickie
Guerrero comes out to announce that the following match will be Michelle McCool
instead of Layla defending the title.
Tiffany
vs. Michelle McCool for the WWE Women’s Championship
Tiffany
hits a baseball slide on McCool then stomps on her midsection in the corner.
Tiffany sets up McCool for a superplex off the second rope then goes for a
cover and a two count. Kelly goes after Layla on the outside as Kelly attacks
her. Tiffany climbs the ropes and is tripped by McCool. McCool hits the Faith
Breaker on Tiffany and gets the pin and the win.
Teddy
Long appears on the tron. Long says that the fun is over and there is only one
women’s championship, because if they do not he will decide who will be the
champion next week.
Another
promo airs for Alberto Del Rio, this time he is talking about our wants and
desires and keeping out ambitions bottled up, he says that he achieves
everything he sets his mind to.
[Commercial]
Rey
Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger No Disqualification Match
Jack
and Rey lock up. Jack backs Rey into a corner then hits Rey with fists to the
face and stomps on him with his boot. Jack whips Rey into another corner Jack
tries for a splash but Rey counters with a dropkick. Rey sets Swagger up for
the 619 and Swagger moves out of the way. Rey hits a slide into Swagger.
Swagger grabs Rey’s ankle but Rey counters and kicks him into the steel ring
steps
[Commercial]
Swagger
tries to set up Rey for a superplex. Rey fights out and head butt’s Swagger.
Rey hits a sitting Seton then a baseball slide into Swagger and he goes
shoulder first into the barricade. Swagger and Rey fight through the crowd as
Swagger stomps on Rey’s midsection. Swagger scoops Rey up and walks with him,
as Rey counters and hits a kick to Swagger’s head. Rey pushes Swagger into the
guard railing, tries for a hurricanrana but Swagger counters, and slams Rey’s
back first into the railing. Swagger drags Rey’s leg and out of the arena he
throws Rey into the merchandise stand, onto the ground and through the entry
doors.
Swagger
and Rey go to the outside. Swagger squishes Rey’s head in another guardrail
then hits a kick to Rey’s midsection. Swagger scoops Rey up and begins walking
with him. A car almost hits Swagger but he continues to walk toward the Gulf of
Mexico. Rey counters and fights back. Rey kicks swagger and throws onto the
concrete. Rey hits a sitting Seton on Swagger. Rey keeps hitting kicks to
Swagger’s mid section. Swagger fights back and hits fists to Rey’s head.
Swagger says he is the champion, and say’s Rey is not half the man that he is. Swagger
looks down at Rey as he picks him up and tries to throw Rey into the ocean. Rey
counters hits a hurricanrana into the water. Swagger says that he is drowning
and that he needs help. Kane hits Rey with a chokeslam and throws Rey into the
water. Kane looks on from the shore as we close Smackdown.
