Tonight
is the WWE ‘Survivor Series’ pay per view from Washington, D.C. This has been
one of the weakest builds for a big show in some time and estimates are very
conservative for this show. Here is The LAW’s preview of the show.

JOHN CENA VS SHAWN MICHAELS VS TRIPLE H FOR THE WWE TITLE

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
There is no benefit in putting the title on either Michaels or Triple H,
so it’s obvious that Cena will retain. I’m more interested in the actual story
of the match and whether or not they start a breakup angle with Trips and Michaels.
I know there’s been no hint of that so far, but anything to get DX out of the
ring is okay by me.

John Pollock
All the comedy for this match has made
this such a nothing main event. Cena is going to be filming a movie in December
however he is still going to work TV and PPV’s so that shouldn’t be a factor in
taking the title off of him, however they may want the title on the house
shows. Now is the time for DX to break up and perhaps we get a split tonight
and Hunter wins the title.

THE UNDERTAKER VS BIG SHOW VS CHRIS JERICHO FOR THE WORLD TITLE

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
Again, I can’t see the belt changing hands here, although I would be
happy if it started a program between Taker and Jericho that culminates in a
Mania match, although I could also see it turning into a feud between Show and
Taker too. Taker retains.

John Pollock
I don’t know why this match is happening
when a singles match between The Undertaker and Chris Jericho would have had
ten times the interest of this match. Big Show brings this match down significantly
and you can’t take Show or Jericho seriously as challengers based on the build
for this match. I see Undertaker retaining the title in this match.

BATISTA VS REY MYSTERIO

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
My big concern is whether or not these two can
make it through a big match without getting injured. Actually, since Rey does
need some knee surgery, I can see Batista winning here and Rey disappearing
again for a while.

John Pollock
This has probably been the best built
match on the show (which isn’t saying a lot) but it has been good and is based
around a simple concept that Batista wanted the title and he believes Rey
screwed him out of that chance. I expect a big injury angle to take Rey out of
action and Batista wins.

TEAM ORTON (Randy Orton, Ted DiBiase, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, William Regal)
Vs TEAM KOFI (Kofi Kingston, Christian, MVP, Mark Henry, R-Truth)

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
I loved the angle on RAW this week where Kofi looked great taking out
Orton. It was done really well, but because Kofi got the upper hand, I see it
coming down to him and Orton, but Orton gets the win for his team. And by the
way they’ve completely dropped the storyline with Ted Dibiase and Orton, I see
him getting thrown out first.

John Pollock
Kofi Kingston has been booked
tremendously over the last month and when they deliver the singles match with
Kingston and Orton, there will be legitimate interest. The focus of this match
will be interesting and could see a story of Kingston eliminating Orton but
then DiBiase survives and wins the match for Team Orton to keep that program
alive.

TEAM MORRISON (John Morrison, Matt Hardy, Finlay, Shelton Benjamin, Evan
Bourne) Vs TEAM MIZ (The Miz, Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler, Drew McIntyre, Jack
Swagger)

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
I expect both Sheamus and Drew McIntyre to be in
here for a long time since they’re both getting the push from the top (Sheamus
from Trips and McIntyre from McMahon). But in the end, I think Morrison’s team
will get the win, but Evan Bourne will be eliminated first.

John Pollock
This should be a big match for the heels,
in particular Sheamus and McIntyre surviving for their team. I see McIntyre
getting the pin on Morrison and finally getting a new program started for
Morrison as Ziggler is phased out of the IC Title picture.

TEAM MICHELLE (Michelle McCool, Layla, Beth Phoenix, Jillian, Alicia Fox)
Vs TEAM MICKIE (Mickie James, Melina, Kelly Kelly, Gail Kim, Eve Torres)

Dan ‘The Mouth’ Lovranski
Let’s see how fast this match can go by because
it can’t be as long as a traditional  Survivor Series match or we’ll be
watching a lot of flubbed spots. I see Team Michelle coming out on top here,
but Jillian Hall will get thrown out first.

John Pollock

Babyfaces win with Mickie getting her
revenge on McCool and Layla. This match should be good as it will be kept short
and you won’t have Eve or Layla in there too long – though Melina and live TV
aren’t always a great combination.
